1) Concertos 'n Costumes (Spooktacular)

Saturday, October 24, 2009 - Hoover Studio

(Free. For all pre-college students. Family members are invited, too.)

2) November Hymn Festival, Saturday, 11/14/09 (at IPC)

(Free. The $12 entry fee and trophy fees are included in Tuition. This event is for

pre-college students and interested adult students. Requirement: play 2 prepared and

polished hymns, or 1 hymn and 1 carol and complete a short sight-reading

category and possible other categories of harmonization etc. It is a private audition

on piano for a guest teacher/adjudicator. Written evaluations and ratings are provided

by the judge. Pre-college students also participate in an award program, earning a

trophy cup after 10 points are accumulated. Immdediately following the private audition,

students also receive a free mini-organ lesson and a chance to perform their hymns/

carols on the pipe organ.)

3) Holiday Piano-Caroling

(Free. This year there will be a choice of 3 different dates from which to choose!

This public event is available for all interested students, any level, any age. The only

requirement? That music be learned and polished. Memorization is not required, nor

recommended. Parents, family members are also invited.)

4) Lessons with John Bloomfield. December 12, 2009 (and again

in May/June, date TBA). You will sign-up for this event on a

different webpage.

5) Metro Music Forum Theory Examinations and Masterclass

January 23, 2010. (Entry Fee)
